Dilek İmamoğlu made the following statements in her speech:

My dear young people, women, and men, welcome all of you. You have walked for kilometers on this cold day to come here; I offer my heartfelt gratitude to you all. It is not just Ekrem İmamoğlu who was detained this morning; what was detained this morning is the will of 16 million people in Istanbul.

Those detained this morning are the retirees who can afford meat thanks to the City Restaurants (Kent Lokantası); we are all detained today, crushed and impoverished under the mistakes of the government.

What is in detention today is the rule of law, democracy, and justice... What is in detention is the hope of 86 million for a more just Republic of Turkey.

As Dilek İmamoğlu, I promise you, we will never give up; we will continue on our path by standing together without giving up. We will protect our beautiful Republic, which our Ancestor entrusted to us, together.

I ask all of you to stand by us in this major conspiracy operation; our foreheads are clear, our heads are held high! We do not accept all these crimes, all these accusations, injustices, and lawlessness.

If we accept it, democracy dies; do not accept it!

I am calling out to all CHP members, vote on March 23... Our struggle will not end, with the spirit of inspiration we received from a pair of blue eyes.

On March 23, all of our voices must ring out loudly; we will not have a single defection. We will elect our new President together.

I entrust Ekrem İmamoğlu to all of you. There is no salvation alone; either all of us or none of us.
