Dilek Kaya İmamoğlu, wife of Ekrem İmamoğlu, reacted to the arrest decisions regarding her family in a statement made on her social media account.

Dilek Kaya İmamoğlu used the following expressions in her post:

"We are facing a system that has become so devoid of conscience that it would tear two children, one 5 and the other 8 years old, away from both their mother and father.

A year ago, you arrested my brother Cevat Kaya, and on February 6, you arrested my other brother, Ali Kaya, in an unjust and unlawful manner.

Now, you have separated my niece Derya and her husband Murat Dağdeviren from their children.

Left behind are two small children, teary-eyed and longing for their mother and father. What kind of conscience is this? What kind of understanding of justice is this?

Let everyone who has signed decisions that will cause a child to grow up without a mother or father know this: The lawlessness being inflicted here deeply wounds not only today but also the lives of these children.

No position, no agenda, and no interest can justify such a disregard for justice, such a blunting of consciences, and such an instrumentalization of the law."
