Discount on water rates in İzmir
In the first session of the İzmir Metropolitan Municipality's April Ordinary Council Meeting, a 25 percent discount on water and wastewater charges for the first 0.4 cubic meters was approved by majority vote.

The second April council meeting of the İzmir Metropolitan Municipality was held today under the chairmanship of Metropolitan Mayor Cemil Tugay.
During the first council meeting held on April 16, a motion was submitted to apply a 25 percent discount on water and wastewater charges for the first 0.4 cubic meters for all subscribers, effective from June 1. The motion was referred to the Plan and Budget Commission and the Tradesmen Commission for evaluation.
DECISION REACHED
As a result of the evaluations from the commissions, the motion to apply a 25 percent discount on water and wastewater charges for the first 0.4 cubic meters for all subscribers, effective from June 1, was discussed in the first session of the Ordinary Council Meeting and passed by the Council with a unanimous vote.
