Hüseyin Kaş, a petty officer who had been a fugitive since being dismissed from the Air Force and was wanted on charges of 'being a member of FETÖ,' has been caught in Istanbul.
According to a report by Yeni Şafak, the methods used by Kaş, who had been on the run for a long time, to evade security forces have been revealed.
It was determined that the dismissed former petty officer had cloned a vehicle located in Gelibolu, Çanakkale. Kaş, who used the same license plate on a vehicle of the same make and model, could not escape the teams from the Istanbul Police Department Intelligence Branch.
REVEALED IN THE LPR
Intelligence Branch teams tracked the vehicle of Kaş, whom they had identified as living in Beylikdüzü, Istanbul. During a License Plate Recognition (LPR) system query conducted on July 30, it was determined that the vehicle was in both Istanbul and Çanakkale at the same time. It was understood that the vehicle in Çanakkale was the real and original one. The vehicle was registered to A.U. Following this, the Istanbul Counter-Terrorism Branch teams pursued the vehicle in Istanbul. In the operation carried out, FETÖ fugitive Hüseyin Kaş was apprehended. The FETÖ member Kaş was arrested by the court he was brought before and sent to prison.
