Dismissed lieutenant Kılıç harshly denies report that 'lieutenants rented a shared house'
Sözcü columnist Saygı Öztürk published a report claiming that four of the lieutenants who took a sword oath after their Military Academy graduation, chanted "We are Mustafa Kemal's soldiers," and were subsequently dismissed from the Turkish Armed Forces (TSK), had rented a shared house to follow the lawsuits they filed. The report in question had already been denied by the lieutenants' lawyer. Another denial of Öztürk's report came from one of the dismissed lieutenants, Batuhan Gazi Kılıç.

In the report he shared in his column, Öztürk included statements suggesting that the lieutenants who wanted to follow their case had rented a shared house but were struggling to pay the rent and utility fees.

The lieutenants rented a house together to follow their cases. However, since they have no income, it is difficult for them to pay the 33 thousand lira rent and the house's heating and utility fees. When a businessperson learned of their situation, he wanted to help. However, they were not very keen on this. When the businessperson said, 'My father was also a former Military Academy graduate,' a warmth developed between them. I learned that they accepted this support with hesitation.”
LIEUTENANT KILIÇ REACTED
Batuhan Gazi Kılıç, one of the lieutenants who took the matter to court following their dismissal process, shared one of the reports written about them on his social media page and expressed his reaction with the following words:
We do not need anyone's money, please do not create a false perception; we are young people aged 23-24, we have the strength to get back up whenever we fall. This is not the first time we have been without money, we have not been reduced to begging. There is no need for absurd conspiracy theories made up out of thin air like restructuring!
Furthermore, aid requests have been coming in since the beginning of the process; we thank everyone and tell them that we cannot accept them. Our only desire is to serve the great Turkish nation and the republic at the cost of our lives...
