Dispute over a girl in Sakarya: 1 dead, 3 injured
In the Hendek district of Sakarya, 7 youths clashed in a fight allegedly sparked by a dispute over a girl. During the incident, in which knives were drawn, 18-year-old Mehmet Ali Dertli lost his life, while 3 others were injured.

According to allegations, the fight broke out between two groups due to a dispute over a girl. Knives were drawn during the altercation, which involved A.Y. (18), A.C.D. (17), E.Ü. (18), E.D. (18), as well as two girls named A.T. (16) and N.Ş. (16).
During the knife fight involving a total of 7 youths, including 2 girls, Mehmet Ali Dertli, A.Y., A.C.D., and E.Ü. were injured. Upon notification of the incident, numerous medical and police teams were dispatched to the area.
The injured, who received initial treatment at the scene by medical teams arriving at the address, were taken to the hospital. 18-year-old Mehmet Ali Dertli, who was seriously injured in the fight, could not be saved despite all interventions at the hospital and lost his life.
An investigation into the matter has been initiated.
