The Presidency of Religious Affairs (Diyanet) has stated that the phrase "Allah father" used by a guest on a program broadcast on Diyanet TV is unacceptable, and announced that necessary actions have been initiated against those responsible.

In the statement, which noted that author Hatice Ebrar Akbulut participated in the August 6 broadcast of the program, which covers topics related to women and family, the following expressions were included:

"It has been determined that the guest used the phrase 'Allah father' during the live broadcast, even if it was quoted from someone else.

This expression, which is contrary to the principle of Tawhid (the oneness of God), is absolutely impossible to reconcile with our broadcasting principles or to accept in terms of religious education.

For we believe that Allah has not begotten, nor was He begotten. He has no spouse, no equal, no son, and no partner.

We share with the public our regret that the aforementioned expression, which is contrary to this truth, was used on our screen, and that necessary actions have been initiated against those responsible. We extend our gratitude to our valued viewers for their careful and sensitive approach."
