The Presidency of Religious Affairs (Diyanet) has launched an investigation into R.K., the imam of the mosque in the Tavşantepe neighborhood of the Bağlar district in Diyarbakır.
The Presidency of Religious Affairs has opened an investigation regarding allegations appearing in the press and on social media concerning R.K., the imam of the mosque in the Tavşantepe neighborhood of Diyarbakır's central Bağlar district, where 8-year-old Narin Güran, who was murdered, lived.
As part of the investigation, the imam, R.K., had also been taken into custody. It was alleged that sexually explicit images and correspondence involving him were found on the imam's phone, which had been seized for examination.
