Diyanet officials' children to receive 'educational aid': 2 KYK scholarships worth...

The Diyanet Foundation has completed its work regarding the educational aid to be provided to the children of its personnel. 

It was stated that the foundation will provide 4,000 TL in educational aid to students continuing their higher education in the 2024-2025 academic year. 

According to a report by Mustafa Bildircin from BirGün; the letter regarding the educational aid to be provided to personnel's children was written under the signature of Diyanet Foundation General Manager İzani Turan. The letter revealed that the children of high-salaried employees of the Presidency of Religious Affairs (Diyanet) or the Diyanet Foundation would also be able to benefit from the aid.

THEY REACTED TO THE DECISION

It was noted that all personnel, “regardless of their title,” could apply for the educational aid, with applications remaining open until November 15. Diyanet sources reacted to the letter, which would allow the children of Presidency of Religious Affairs executives and Diyanet Foundation executives to benefit from the support, stating, “It is shameful to allow those who are not in need to benefit from support while many students in Turkey are suffering from poverty.”
