DMM: Claims that the data of our 85 million citizens was stolen are baseless
The Center for Combating Disinformation has announced that claims stating "the data of 85 million citizens was stolen and that the BTK requested help from Google regarding the data theft" are completely baseless.

The Presidency's Directorate of Communications Center for Combating Disinformation (DMM) stated in a post on social media that it has been determined that the dialogue between Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu and members of the press was manipulated.
The statement emphasized that the claims mentioned in the news in question, stating that "the data of 85 million citizens was stolen and that the BTK requested help from Google regarding the data theft," are completely baseless, and that there is no currently leaked data, nor is there any question of requesting help from Google.
'DO NOT GIVE CREDIT TO BASELESS CLAIMS'
The statement, which noted that the answer given by Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu to a question on the subject was taken out of context and served as "the identity information of 85 million people was stolen," said, "Following findings that address information based on declarations registered in the system was obtained through the theft of some citizens' passwords, the necessary legal proceedings have been initiated by the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office. Do not give credit to baseless claims."

Responding to journalists' questions after the Cabinet meeting at Beştepe, Minister Uraloğlu gave the following answer to the question from members of the press, "Was the identity information of 85 million citizens seized by hackers?":
You remember during this pandemic process, it was a leak from the health system. Other than that, there is none. There is no data regarding the theft of people's current data. It is true that some information was unfortunately obtained in a certain way during the pandemic process. Unfortunately, that could not be prevented during that process.
