In a statement issued by the DMM, it was noted that some media outlets had reported the claim that "the Ministry of National Education is preparing for imams to teach etiquette classes."

Stating that the claims do not reflect the truth, the statement included the following:

"The principles for teaching assignments and course instruction for teaching fields were approved and published by the Ministry of National Education's Board of Education and Discipline on February 20, 2014, with board decision number 9. According to the relevant board decision, the etiquette course is taught by teachers from all fields who have completed the training determined by the ministry and hold a certificate related to this course. Therefore, it is out of the question for anyone other than teachers to teach the etiquette course. Do not give credence to baseless claims."
