The Center for Combating Disinformation has announced that the claim shared on social media that a "missile was launched from a submarine in TRNC territorial waters" does not reflect the truth; it was reported that the shots in question did not take place in Turkish or TRNC territorial waters and that the footage was recorded in international waters.

The Presidential Communications Directorate's Center for Combating Disinformation (DMM) has issued a statement regarding the claim circulating on some social media accounts that "multiple missiles were launched from a submarine in TRNC territorial waters."
In the information provided on the DMM's social media account, it was stated that the claims in question contain disinformation, and it was noted that there has been no firing conducted in the territorial waters of Turkey or the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC).
ATTENTION DRAWN TO THE SOURCE OF THE FOOTAGE
The following statements were included in the written statement regarding the matter:
"The claim appearing on some social media accounts that 'multiple missiles were launched from a submarine in TRNC territorial waters' contains disinformation. There is no such firing that has taken place in the territorial waters of Turkey or the TRNC. It has been determined that the shots in the footage in question occurred in international waters. It is kindly requested that the public not give credence to baseless posts intended for manipulation and only take into account statements made by the relevant official authorities."
