DMM refutes claims that 'BioNTech vaccine did not arrive in Turkey'

The Center for Combating Disinformation (DMM) stated in a post on its social media account that claims circulating on some social media platforms regarding the COVID-19 pandemic period, suggesting that 'no BioNTech vaccine arrived in Turkey,' are not based on the truth.it was stated that they do not reflect the truth.

It was emphasized that the claims that 'no BioNTech vaccine arrived' contain disinformationaimed at misleading the public.In the statement,thefollowing expressions were included:

"BioNTech mRNA vaccines developed against COVID-19 were procured directly from the company BioNTech SE for clinical use. Within the scope of the fightagainst the pandemic,starting from March 2021 until the finalstages of the pandemic, the vaccines in questionwere procured in accordance with regulations and made available for our citizens' use.
