Downpour expected in Istanbul tomorrow
Citizens have been warned about heavy rainfall expected to affect Istanbul and its surrounding areas starting tomorrow morning. The precipitation is expected to continue until the evening hours.

Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Disaster Coordination Center (AKOM) has announced that the Marmara Region will come under the influence of a low-pressure system arriving from the Central Mediterranean as of tonight.
Due to the system, winds are expected to blow in short-term gusts and thunderstorms are expected to occur starting from the morning hours of Saturday, May 17.
It was stated that the rainfall could be locally heavy, especially until noon, and citizens were urged to be prepared and cautious against adverse weather conditions.
AKOM stated that the downpours will continue to be effective until the evening hours and called on citizens to be careful.
