Heavy rainfall in the Dikili district of İzmir caused streams to overflow, streets to turn into lakes, and vehicles to be submerged.

Some businesses were also flooded, and schools in the district were closed for half a day as a precautionary measure.

The rainfall, which began following a heavy rain warning issued by the General Directorate of Meteorology, continued throughout the night. By the first light of morning, life had come to a standstill, particularly in the Dikili district.

Due to the effective rainfall in Dikili, schools were closed for half a day as a precaution. Some businesses in the district were left underwater, and shopkeepers drew attention to the measures that need to be taken.

Meanwhile, in other İzmir districts such as Bornova and Buca, streets also turned into lakes due to the downpour, and citizens took shelter at bus stops. In the Bergama district, a stream overflowed.
