DP İzmir MP Salih Uzun, who visited Dilruba K., who has been in custody for 15 days due to remarks she made during a street interview, addressed citizens via social media.

In his post, where he stated, "Please pay attention! This video is not about #Dilruba, it is about you. You are the ones inside. Your rights. They are keeping Dilruba inside because they are trying to set us all straight, they are trying to scare us all. IF WE DO NOT SPEAK UP NOW, WE WILL NEVER BE ABLE TO SPEAK AGAIN," he said the following:

I visited Dilruba Hanım in the prison where she has been unjustly held for 15 days. Today was her birthday. She had to spend her birthday in prison conditions. They made a young woman regret being born. First of all, let me say this; I saw a very resilient, very determined young woman, but that is not what this is about. The question we really need to focus on is; why is Dilruba inside? Like 9 out of 10 people walking on the street, she was fed up and spoke to the microphone extended to her, expressed her views, and voiced her anger. You may like it or not, but what is putting someone on trial? Especially, what is trial while in custody? In this country where fraudsters, smugglers, perverts, drug dealers, and the mafia are tried without arrest and acquitted, a young woman has been inside for 15 days because of what she said; because of a setup created by the government's propaganda officers. Those watching this video should not think they are watching a video about someone else. This video is about you, this video is about your rights. It is about your future, your freedom, and the future of your children. Dilruba is inside because they want to set us all straight. Dilruba is inside because they want to send a message to all of us. That is why I say; defending Dilruba is defending yourself. Defending Dilruba is defending your children, your future, your freedoms, and your rights. If you do not object to this and speak up now, you will never be able to speak again. If we do not speak up now, we will never be able to speak again."
