Dr. Bülent Cihantimur, father of Timur Cihantimur, suspended from medical practice

Dr. Bülent Cihantimur, the father of Timur Cihantimur, who caused the death of Oğuz Murat Aci, has been suspended from practicing medicine for one month.

According to information provided by journalist Çağdaş Evren Şenlik, a woman who underwent surgery in 2018 filed a complaint against Cihantimur, alleging that he shared images of her without permission. Following the complaint, the Istanbul Chamber of Physicians found the woman's claim justified and, taking into account Bülent Cihantimur's previous disciplinary penalties, announced that he had been suspended from the profession for one month. 

The escape of 17-year-old Timur Cihantimur, who caused the death of Oğuz Murat Aci, to Egypt and subsequently to the U.S. with the help of his mother, Eylem Tok, following the accident, sparked public outrage. Cihantimur and Tok were later apprehended in the U.S. A travel ban was imposed on the father, Bülent Cihantimur.

Another development that drew public ire following the incident was the revelation that Bülent Cihantimur was preparing a television show abroad under the name "Doctor B." However, the project in question was canceled following intense backlash.

ACI'S WIFE HAD WITHDRAWN HER COMPLAINT

Cihantimur's name had previously surfaced regarding a payment made to the wife of the late Oğuz Murat Aci. It was alleged that the wife withdrew her complaint following this payment.  

Famous influencer Danla Bilic recently announced in a video posted on her social media account that the hip filler she had received three years ago had migrated up to her ribs, and that she would have to undergo surgery again as a result. Bilic mentioned the name of Cihantimur, who performed her surgery, and pointed out that he had not warned her.

Danla Bilic used the following expressions in her post:

"Your Danla is having filler removal surgery on Wednesday. Because my doctor, Bülent Cihantimur, did not warn me that 'those fillers will shift and move up to your ribs,' we signed everything and went into surgery. Now, another professor will have to operate on me again. If you have a surgery scheduled, cancel it; he ruins lives."

FILED A LAWSUIT AGAINST BILIC

While Bilic's statements sparked reactions on social media, Dr. Bülent Cihantimur filed a lawsuit against Danla Bilic, claiming that her remarks were "reputation-damaging and caused professional defamation."
