The Rize Provincial Health Directorate has issued a warning to citizens regarding the use of drinking water following the heavy rainfall affecting the city.
In the announcement made by the directorate, it was stated that water from sources that are not protected and of unknown origin should not be consumed. In cases of necessity, it was requested that such water be boiled and cooled before being used as drinking water.
The statement included the following: “Water from sources that are not protected and of unknown origin should not be consumed. In cases of necessity, such water must be boiled and cooled before being used as drinking water. Greater caution should be exercised regarding drinking water during days when heavy rainfall continues and in the 5-7 day period following the end of the rainfall.”
