Driver who made threats in traffic in Eyüpsultan fined 180,000 TL, license suspended for 60 days
In Istanbul's Eyüpsultan district, the driver identified as M.E.Ö., who cut off another vehicle following a horn warning, has had his license suspended and his vehicle banned from traffic.

Administrative and judicial proceedings have been initiated against M.E.Ö., who was determined to have threatened another driver during a traffic dispute in Istanbul's Eyüpsultan district. The driver was fined 180,000 lira, and his driver's license was suspended for 60 days.
The incident occurred on Silahtarağa Street. A driver in motion honked his horn to warn another vehicle that he claimed was drifting into his lane. Following the warning, it was stated that M.E.Ö. cut off the other vehicle with his car.
A verbal altercation broke out between M.E.Ö., who got out of his vehicle, and the other driver. During the incident, M.E.Ö. allegedly made threats, saying, "Why are you acting like a show-off? What is your problem? I'm at my wit's end, I'll cut your head off." A woman who was a passenger in the vehicle was seen trying to calm the driver down.
Following the footage, teams from the Istanbul Police Department's Traffic Inspection Branch launched a virtual patrol investigation. During the investigation, the driver's identity was determined, and M.E.Ö. was apprehended.
M.E.Ö. was fined 180,000 lira under the provision of "persistently following another vehicle in traffic for the purpose of assault or getting out of the vehicle for this purpose." While the driver's license was suspended for 60 days, his vehicle was also banned from traffic for 60 days and towed to a parking lot.
Authorities reported that judicial proceedings have also been initiated against M.E.Ö.
