Drone operator kicks child on April 23: Suspect detained
A suspect identified as having kicked a student during the April 23 National Sovereignty and Children's Day celebrations in the Pütürge district of Malatya has been detained.

Pütürge Regional Boarding School police launched an investigation following a report that a suspect had kicked a 3rd-grade student, T.Ş., during the April 23 celebrations in the schoolyard.
The suspect, M.H., who was detained and referred to the courthouse following a complaint by the family, was released under judicial control conditions after his statement was taken.
The Provincial Directorate of National Education has also appointed an inspector and launched an investigation into the incident.
In the footage recorded by the school's security camera, it can be seen that M.H., who was operating a drone on the ground to film the April 23 celebrations, kicks 3rd-grade student T.Ş. after a balloon hits the drone, causing the child to fall to the ground, and other students are seen helping their friend up.
"THE PERSONNEL'S EMPLOYMENT HAS BEEN TERMINATED"
Pütürge Mayor Mikail Sülük stated in a written statement that he felt the need to make a statement due to the circulation of misleading information regarding the incident, which received widespread attention on social media today and was alleged to have taken place in the district.
Stating first that they are in constant communication with the child affected by the distressing incident and his family, Sülük noted the following:
"Supporting them is our top priority. I would like to express that we are deeply saddened by what happened and that we are ready to provide all kinds of assistance to his family. In this context, the person in question is not an employee of our municipality, but was working at the PÜRAŞ AŞ company affiliated with our municipality.
Following the incident, as a result of the investigation rapidly carried out by our company, the employment of the relevant personnel has been terminated. PÜRAŞ AŞ and our municipality continue to work in close cooperation with the relevant institutions to clarify every aspect of the matter. All necessary steps are being taken decisively for the peace and security of our Pütürge, and the process is being managed carefully."
