Drone theft in Üsküdar: 2 million lira heist

A group of thieves arrived in a luxury car in front of a drone store located in Üsküdar Altunizade around 05:30 on the morning of June 13, and used various tools they brought with them to force open the shop's shutters.

The thieves entered the store and stole drones, drone accessories, cameras, and various technological products with a market value of approximately 2 million TL, loading them into the trunk and seats of their car. As the thieves fled the scene with the stolen technological products, the store's alarm was triggered, alerting the shop owners to the incident.

Store official Mehmet Mannasoğlu stated that 8 of the stolen technological products had been activated and that they had reported the situation to the police.

"OUR LOSS IS AROUND 2 MILLION"

Mehmet Mannasoğlu said, "The incident happened on the morning of June 13. They arrived here in a luxury vehicle, and using equipment they took out of the car, they forced the side channels of the shutter. They detached the shutter from there, entered, and collected the products one by one. Then our alarm went off. When the alarm rang, we called the police station and provided information. We started looking at the footage from the cameras, and that's how we realized that thieves had entered. Our loss is around 2 million. Furthermore, these devices are for hobby, professional, and industrial use. These devices can be used for all kinds of purposes. They are trying to sell the stolen devices on the market at very low prices. We saw some of the stolen devices in the system via their serial numbers and we can track them. I advise people to be careful about who they buy from. We saw in the system that 8 devices have been activated. We will carry out our tracking from here and report these to law enforcement as well."

Meanwhile, the moments when the thieves forced the shop's shutters to enter and stole the products were captured second by second on security cameras.
