The operation that shook the courthouse in Gaziantep began with a tip-off that a court clerk was involved in the illegal drug trade. The investigation, conducted by the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, led to the uncovering of a network that included courthouse staff and external suspects.

According to the report by Türkiye Gazetesi, as a result of technical surveillance and communication analysis, it was determined that many people from inside and outside the courthouse were involved in the criminal network subject to the investigation. Security units, deepening the investigation, detained a total of 16 suspects. It was learned that the suspects included a public prosecutor, two lawyers, seven courthouse personnel, and six civilians.

Messages obtained during the examination of phones revealed the suspects' roles within the organization and the crimes they committed. In particular, it was alleged that courthouse officials abused their positions to violate the confidentiality of investigations, interfered with case files, and engaged in various conflicts of interest.

Among the suspects caught in the operation, court clerk H.İ.U. and M.Ç., who worked at the Criminal Judgeship of Peace, were arrested and sent to prison. Judicial control measures and other investigative methods are being applied to the other suspects.

Sources from the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office pointed out that the file is not yet closed and that there may be new detentions in the coming process. It was reported that the examination of the evidence collected within the scope of the investigation is ongoing and that official notifications have been made to the relevant institutions.
