Drug operation in Diyarbakır: 603 kilograms of cannabis and 640 thousand cannabis plants seized
During the Eren Peace Spring-Summer Martyr Gendarmerie Private Sabit Türkeş operation conducted in the Lice district of Diyarbakır, 603 kilograms of cannabis and 640 thousand 600 cannabis plants were seized.

According to a statement made by the Diyarbakır Governor's Office, the Eren Peace Spring-Summer Martyr Gendarmerie Private Sabit Türkeş operation, which was launched in the rural areas of the Serin and Çağdaş neighborhoods of Lice by the Provincial Gendarmerie Command, has been successfully completed. The operation aimed to reveal the link between the separatist terrorist organization and those involved in illegal drug production and trafficking with concrete evidence, and to find and bring to justice those who hide drugs and the individuals concealing them within the operation zone.
In the aforementioned operation, a total of 603 kilograms of cannabis—consisting of 140 kilograms of powdered cannabis and 463 kilograms of herbal cannabis—as well as a total of 640 thousand 600 cannabis plants, consisting of 489 thousand 60 hemp plants and 151 thousand 540 skunk plants, were seized.
One suspect captured within the scope of the operation was released after their statement was taken, and the drugs were placed under protection, while the hemp and skunk plants were destroyed on-site following the collection of one root sample from each.
