Muhammed Tayyip Zenbilci, the son of AKP Adana Deputy Ahmet Zenbilci, was caught trafficking drugs on September 29, 2024, while using an official vehicle with a parliamentary pass attached.
The indictment prepared during the trial at the Osmaniye 4th High Criminal Court stated that a total of 25 kilograms and 850 grams of cannabis were found in the official vehicle belonging to Zenbilci's father, with a market value of 1 million 290 thousand Turkish Lira.
DETERMINED TO HAVE USED CANNABIS WHILE DRIVING
The indictment noted that Zenbilci was using cannabis while driving the vehicle. Furthermore, an examination of his phone traffic revealed that he had learned he could obtain drugs at a favorable price from Diyarbakır and had traveled between Adana and Diyarbakır four times.
PRISON AND FINE
According to information reported by journalist Alican Uludağ, Zenbilci was sentenced by the Osmaniye 4th High Criminal Court to 11 years and 8 months in prison and a judicial fine of 833 thousand TL for the crime of drug trafficking.
