Dursun Çiçek makes Mansur Yavaş claim regarding CHP primary: 'A promise was made'
Dursun Çiçek, who had announced his candidacy for the CHP's presidential nomination primary but shortly after withdrew that decision, made a striking claim about the party's primary during a broadcast he attended.

As the countdown continues for the primary election in which the CHP will proceed with a single candidate, Dursun Çiçek stated in his remarks on the program "Farklı Açılar" (Different Perspectives) with Kübra Par on tv100, "A promise was made to Mr. Mansur; a second candidate is not wanted in the primary. In other words, a promise was made that a second candidate would not emerge because Mansur Yavaş does not want one."
Dursun Çiçek said the following in his statement:
"There are two fundamental schools of thought here. The first is to go to a primary in the form of a referendum with a single candidate and emerge with a single candidate. A promise was made to Mr. Mansur; a second candidate is not wanted in the primary. In other words, a promise was made that a second candidate would not emerge because Mansur Yavaş does not want one. This is a decision made by the Headquarters.
"I DO NOT INTEND TO GO TO THE POLLS ON MARCH 23"
During the period when Mr. Kılıçdaroğlu was the sole candidate and I was a member of parliament, I did not go to vote. I said I do not vote in single-candidate elections; I have no choice. I am at the same point. As an objection to the method, I do not intend to go to the polls."
