The harsh reaction of an earthquake survivor who lost relatives in the major earthquake in Hatay towards the Minister of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change Murat Kurum has resurfaced with a video filmed during Kurum's candidacy for the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality. The citizen expressed their grievance, stating that the state had seized their assets and that they had not even been given a single shop.

'I LOST EVERYTHING'

In the video shared by Politikyol, the earthquake survivor turned to Minister Kurum and recounted the difficulties they faced in a harsh manner. The earthquake survivor expressed the grievance they experienced during his tenure at the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization with the following words:

"I lost everything in the places you declared as reserve areas and risky areas. I lost 50 million dollars. The state seized it. You are not even paying rent. You have condemned me to this life."

'YOU DID NOT EVEN GIVE A SINGLE SHOP'

Faced with what the citizen described, Minister Kurum tried to respond by saying, "It doesn't happen like that, though." However, the earthquake survivor continued their speech even more harshly, stating that they were an AKP member and that no support had been provided to them, saying, "It did happen like that, though; I cannot get a single penny. Four shops were built on the land inherited from my father. You did not give me a single shop. I am an AKP member. After this is done to me, what is being done to other citizens?"

Minister Murat Kurum, who appeared surprised by the earthquake survivor's account, stated that they would investigate the situation and directed the citizen to the authorities.
