Earthquake warning for Turkey from Naci Görür following Afghanistan earthquake

Geoscientist Prof. Dr. Naci Görür made a striking statement on social media following the magnitude 6 earthquake in Afghanistan, which caused significant loss of life. Görür stated that if cities are not earthquake-resistant, even relatively small earthquakes can lead to major destruction.

Reports from the region following the earthquake in Afghanistan indicate a high number of deaths and injuries. Drawing attention to the scale of this destruction, Prof. Dr. Görür said, "It is hard to believe that a magnitude 6 earthquake could cause this much damage. But believe it. If your cities are not earthquake-resistant, believe it."
