Naci Görür made statements following the earthquakes in Yüksekova, citing data from the Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD). Drawing attention to the Hakkari and Bitlis/Zagros thrust belt, Görür emphasized that efforts to build earthquake-resistant cities must continue between Adıyaman and Hakkari, as well as in Tunceli and Bingöl. He also highlighted the importance of being prepared for earthquakes to avoid fearing them. Citing the example of Japan, where there were no casualties despite an earthquake measuring over 7, he emphasized the importance of earthquake-resistant cities in Turkey and called for participation in campaigns to this end.
