Naci Görür made statements following the earthquakes in Yüksekova, citing data from the Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD). Drawing attention to the Hakkari and Bitlis/Zagros thrust belt, Görür emphasized that efforts to build earthquake-resistant cities must continue between Adıyaman and Hakkari, as well as in Tunceli and Bingöl. He also highlighted the importance of being prepared for earthquakes to avoid fearing them. Citing the example of Japan, where there were no casualties despite an earthquake measuring over 7, he emphasized the importance of earthquake-resistant cities in Turkey and called for participation in campaigns to this end.
Naci Görür included the following statements in his post on his X account:
“Friends, today I reposted some tweets I wrote previously. In these tweets, we draw attention to the Hakkari and Bitlis/Zagros thrust belt. I am saying the same thing today. Efforts for earthquake-resistant cities must be continued between Adıyaman and Hakkari, and in Tunceli and Bingöl. Not fearing earthquakes is only possible by being prepared for them. Look, today there was an earthquake over 7 in Japan and not even 1 person died. WE WANT EARTHQUAKE-RESISTANT CITIES IN OUR COUNTRY. Contribute by signing the campaign and making demands.”
