It has been reported that journalist Ebru Küçükaydın, who sparked public outrage by spreading "illicit affair" slander against Şehzadeler Mayor Gülşah Durbay and CHP Chairman Özgür Özel, has suffered a heart attack.
In a development that occurred shortly before Durbay's health deteriorated and she passed away, it was learned that Küçükaydın was taken to the hospital and underwent a stent procedure following medical intervention.
In a statement to sozcu.com.tr, Küçükaydın said, "Her passing saddened me deeply. I am not in good health, I cannot speak."

Last year, articles published on an Antalya-based local news website made "illicit affair" allegations against Gülşah Durbay and Özgür Özel. The publications contained severe accusations against Durbay and included statements that caused public outcry.
Durbay, who faced these allegations during her treatment process, had announced that she would take legal action against the slander. As a result of the trial, Ebru Küçükaydın and Zehra Cücü, the editor-in-chief of the relevant website, were sentenced to 1 year, 9 months, and 25 days in prison.
