Ece Üner reacts to Özgür Özel over 'Taha Hüseyin Karagöz' meeting

Presenter Ece Üner has reacted to CHP leader Özgür Özel's meeting with Yeni Şafak reporter Taha Hüseyin Karagöz. Recalling Karagöz's past remarks, Üner stated, "He is an individual who has insulted Atatürk, and furthermore, he is not a journalist."

AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and MHP leader Devlet Bahçeli, who met with CHP Chairman Özgür Özel, gave messages of normalization in politics.

Shortly after these meetings, Özel met with Taha Hüseyin Karagöz, a reporter for the newspaper Yeni Şafak, which is known for its proximity to the government. Özel's meeting with Karagöz, who frequently targets the CHP, caused reactions in the public eye. One such reaction to Özel came from presenter Ece Üner.

 

Speaking on her program Sözün Gücü on Sözcü TV, Ece Üner addressed the situation by saying, "There is a main opposition party that forces us to talk about unnecessary issues."

Listing what Hüseyin Karagöz has done in the past, Üner said of Karagöz, "He is an individual who has insulted Atatürk, and furthermore, he is not a journalist."
