Education suspended in 5 districts of Antalya

Due to the continuation of adverse weather conditions in Antalya, education in schools has been suspended for tomorrow in the districts of Aksu, Döşemealtı, Kepez, Konyaaltı, and Muratpaşa.

In a statement made by the Antalya Governor's Office, it was stated: "Our efforts, together with all institutions, organizations, and volunteer citizens, are continuing without interruption to return life to normal following the heavy rainfall, floods, and overflows that have been ongoing in our province since last night. 

In this context, as a result of our latest assessment, due to the ongoing adverse weather conditions, in order to prevent disruptions in public services, especially education, and to ensure our citizens do not experience difficulties; education in educational institutions in our 5 central districts (Aksu, Döşemealtı, Kepez, Konyaaltı, Muratpaşa) has been suspended for 1 day on February 14, 2024.

WILL BE CONSIDERED ON ADMINISTRATIVE LEAVE

Female public personnel working in public institutions who have children aged 0-6 will be considered on administrative leave for 1 day.

Crèches and day care centers serving in the central districts of Antalya have been closed for one day on Wednesday, February 14, 2024, due to adverse weather conditions. Personnel with disabilities, pregnant personnel, and personnel with chronic illnesses working in public institutions in our 5 central districts will be considered on administrative leave for 1 day.”
