Educators Association files criminal complaint against 3 ministries over ÇEDES: 'A war on the secular Republic'

The Educators Association (EĞİT-DER) has filed a criminal complaint against the Ministry of National Education (MEB), the Presidency of Religious Affairs, and the Ministry of Youth and Sports for signing a protocol for the "I am sensitive to my environment, I protect my values" (ÇEDES) project.

According to a report in BirGün; making a statement in front of the Ankara Courthouse before the criminal complaint, EĞİT-DER Chairman Tahsin Doğan recalled the statement made by Minister of National Education Yusuf Tekin during budget negotiations in Parliament, where he noted that his ministry had 2,709 protocols, 10 of which were signed with sects and religious communities, and said, "Yusuf Tekin showed his future goal with remarks like, 'You will get used to this, Turkey has changed.' Stating that the MEB has declared war on the secular republic in the centenary of the Republic, Doğan said, 'We will file a criminal complaint against the Minister of National Education, the Minister of Youth and Sports, and the President of Religious Affairs for what they have done.'"
