Efkan Ala points to that date for the new reconciliation process!

The new reconciliation process, of which Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) Chairman Devlet Bahçeli is the architect and which the government calls a 'Terror-Free Turkey,' continues to maintain its place on the agenda.

While terrorist leader Abdullah Öcalan called for laying down arms on February 27, Sırrı Süreyya Önder and Pervin Buldan from the DEM Party Imralı Delegation went to the Palace today to visit AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. Erdoğan was accompanied by AKP Deputy Chairman Efkan Ala and MIT Undersecretary İbrahim Kalın.

Responding to questions about the agenda from Ahmet Örsoğlu on NTV, Ala replied to CHP leader Özgür Özel's use of the word 'junta'.

Ala said, "He says junta. To whom is he saying it? He is saying it to a party that has been in power for 22 years by fighting against coups and memorandums and burying each one at the ballot box, a party that has signed Turkey's EU negotiations and carried out so many reforms. There is no part of this that can be taken seriously."

Evaluating the developments regarding the new reconciliation process, Ala said, "President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has demonstrated the will to resolve the issue. We are handling matters with cautious language. The Terror-Free Turkey process is continuing as we envisioned. There is no disruption or pause. I think we are moving forward with confident steps toward achieving results."

"A TIMELINE MUST EMERGE IN A SHORT TIME"

Pointing to the end of April by stating that the terrorist organization PKK will hold a congress and announce a decision to dissolve in a short time, here are the highlights of Ala's speech:

"The step after this stage we have reached is for the terrorist organization to hold its congress and dissolve itself. I think this will happen in a short time, in a not-too-distant future. A timeline must emerge in a short time. As it drags on, the possibilities for provocation increase. We hope to see an important step by the end of April.

There is no situation that leaves room for debate. It says all elements of the terrorist organization. Therefore, it is a very clear and explicit call to lay down arms, surrender their weapons, and dissolve itself with all its elements. It is a clear call.

"THE STATE HAS MATTERS THAT MUST BE CONDUCTED SECRETLY"

Those who make criticisms do so out of a lack of information. These issues are not solved by constantly talking about them in public. Public approval is obtained, consent is obtained, but the negotiations and the measures to be taken proceed in their own course, and the result is shared with the public. The state has matters that must be conducted secretly. We have enough experience in this regard both as AK Party governments and as the Republic of Turkey. There is no room for hesitation; the process is being carried out as it should be."

THE ARREST OF EKREM İMAMOĞLU

There is not a single major investment or project we can count. That is another matter, but a chief public prosecutor's office is conducting an investigation here. We need to name this correctly. This is called a corruption investigation. All the clamor being made is an effort to hide that this is a corruption investigation. This will not bring any results. What is important here is that the budgets entrusted by the nation are used for the service of the nation.

"THEY MADE MISTAKES ONE AFTER ANOTHER"

The CHP Chairman is calling for a boycott and calling the nation to the streets. If it were a struggle for democratic rights, you would understand, but there is a corruption investigation at hand. When is the boycott call being made? They made incredible mistakes one after another. There are measures that Turkey needs to take during a period when trade wars are being experienced. The main opposition party chairman is not putting forward alternative policies.

CHP'S EARLY ELECTION CALL

The election just happened. There is more than three years left until the presidential elections. That is not forcing an early election, but a strategy to escape their own problems. They haven't even been able to decide among themselves who the chairman is."
