Ekrem İmamoğlu answered journalists' questions during a break in his diploma case hearing. İmamoğlu responded to questions regarding former CHP Chairman Kılıçdaroğlu and the issue of nullity.

İmamoğlu evaluated the rallies organized by CHP Chairman Özgür Özel as follows:

"Let me put it this way: I saw a chairman writing history, a friendship, a companionship, a dedication

an example to the world... The event we are experiencing has no parallel in the world, a struggle that has lasted for 6-7 months"

COMMENT DRAWING ATTENTION TO GÜRSEL TEKİN AND THE TRUSTEE CRISIS

İmamoğlu gave the following response to a question regarding Gürsel Tekin's remarks on the appointment of a trustee to the CHP İstanbul Provincial Presidency:

"I watched with a heavy heart as the country's ballot box and future were interfered with; it is a very painful situation. It is a threat to the order of the country. This is not just a CHP issue. The consequences of this are unimaginable. It is essential that even people who have engaged in politics within the AKP put a stop to this. I invite everyone to stand against this action.

This cannot be thought of as a simple act carried out based on the ambition of a handful of people; such a form of instruction cannot exist in this country in this manner"

REGARDING THE AGENDA OF THE PARTY CONGRESS CASE, IMAMOĞLU SPOKE AS FOLLOWS:

"At the very least, our chairman is organizing a tremendous struggle. This is not just a CHP issue; it is also an issue for people who have engaged in political struggle within the AKP. It is a matter of whether the ballot box will come or not. I hope that on that day, this chapter will be closed. If this country could have a single day of dialogue, everything would change. It is incomprehensible what kind of political accounting the mind that desires this conflict has."

COMMENTED ON KILIÇDAROĞLU'S SILENCE

Regarding the silence of former CHP Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, which has lasted for days, İmamoğlu said, "I am also maintaining my silence on this matter; I hope he makes the right decision for himself."

Regarding MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli's call for 'indictments to be written in October' and his assessments, İmamoğlu stated the following:

Why are we in prison, why are we detained? What is the benefit of constantly slandering and forcing people into treason? Does the state take prisoners, does it take hostages?

What kind of prediction can we make about the judiciary, what will happen? Are you going to put the entire nation in prison? The nation is eagerly and breathlessly waiting for the ballot box.

EVALUATED THE RESIGNATIONS IN BEYKOZ

Regarding the resignation of Beykoz Deputy Mayor Özlem Vural Gürzel and claims that she will join the AKP, İmamoğlu stated the following:

"It is a very painful situation, very shameful... She wrote to me saying she would resign from her post, and I wrote her a letter saying, 'Look, don't rush, hopefully our friend will be released and you can talk.' Then, whatever happened, she fell into such a situation. It is a pity for her, she was someone we called our daughter."
