Ekrem İmamoğlu: I will hold them accountable both in this world and in the hereafter

Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu, who was taken to Silivri Prison after being arrested, shared a message on his social media account to mark the Night of Power (Kadir Gecesi).

In his social media post, İmamoğlu stated, "I swear that I will hold those responsible for this accountable both in this world and in the hereafter."

İmamoğlu shared the following message:

"Since my childhood, the Night of Power has held a very special meaning for me.

For many years, I have spent the Night of Power, the most beautiful of nights, with my family, my mother and father, and my loved ones.

For the first time in my life, I am spending this blessed night inside due to a political conspiracy.

I swear that I will hold those responsible for this accountable both in this world and in the hereafter."
