Striking warning from Ekrem İmamoğlu regarding the elections: They want to win through the judiciary

İmamoğlu stated, "The government is looking for ways to win the upcoming election today through the judiciary. To this end, they are first trying to bring the nation's elected representatives to their knees. Let them know that we will not kneel! We will dismantle the traps they have set to weaken us, break our resistance, and lead us to despair together."

İmamoğlu sent a message to the CHP Kastamonu 39th Ordinary Provincial Congress. The following statements were included in İmamoğlu's message:

"My dear fellow travelers, my kind-hearted friends from Kastamonu, I greet each and every one of you with love, respect, and longing, as you have not hesitated to take up duty in these critical times when our Republic, our democracy, and the future of our people are under total threat. The Kastamonu Provincial Congress we are holding here today is a historic step in the Republican People's Party's process of change and its journey to power. Our party, founded a century ago with the motto 'Sovereignty belongs unconditionally to the nation,' is fighting with all its might today to make national sovereignty prevail once again by saying 'The nation is great.'

Since the March 19 coup, we have been fighting together against the largest and most costly political operation in our democratic history. The government is looking for ways to win the upcoming election today through the judiciary. To this end, they are first trying to bring the nation's elected representatives to their knees.

Let them know that we will not kneel! We will dismantle the traps they have set to weaken us, break our resistance, and lead us to despair together. Because we are the Republic, we are the Republican People's Party. The Republican People's Party is our father's hearth, which we hold dearer than our own lives and for which we gladly endure every hardship. Our party is the soldier of the Republic and the servant of the people.

We will not stop! We will not stop until we make Turkey a country of justice, freedom, abundance, and prosperity; until we establish a humane and fair order. We will believe in the beautiful days to come. We will work together.

We will succeed together. By believing and working, we will bring the party of the Republic and the people, the legacy of Atatürk, to power. I wish success to our Kastamonu Provincial Congress, which has gathered with this belief and determination, and I thank you once again from the heart for your courageous struggle.
