People's Alliance Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayoral Candidate Murat Kurum cast his vote at Kağıthane İmece Primary School in the morning hours. With little time left until the polls close, Kurum called on citizens to 'cast their votes' via his X account.
Kurum's post is as follows:
"Dear Istanbulites,
There is little time left until the polls close. Voting will end at 17.00 and the vote counting will begin.
My request to you; do not say what will change with one vote and make sure to cast your vote.
The votes you cast mean the future of you and your loved ones. Let us protect our democracy and the future of our Istanbul.
I would like to thank all our organization members and ballot box officials working at the polls once again"
