Election results challenged in Çıldır, Ardahan

In the March 31 Local Administration General Elections, an objection was filed with the district election board regarding a ballot box in the Çıldır district of Ardahan, where the AK Party and CHP mayoral candidates received an equal number of votes.

According to unofficial results, CHP candidate Nurettin Aygün and AKP candidate Kemal Yakup Azizoğlu each received 452 votes in the election.

Aygün stated that they filed the objection on the grounds that a vote in ballot box No. 1007 was counted as valid when it should have been considered invalid.

Azizoğlu also indicated that they would file an objection tomorrow for a recount of all ballot boxes.
