The Erzurum Governor's Office has banned entry and exit to certain districts for 4 days due to a rally planned to be held in Diyarbakır on Sunday, October 13. In the statement made by the Governor's Office, it was stated that certain decisions were taken in accordance with the provisions of Articles 17 and 19 of the Law on Meetings and Demonstrations No. 2911 and Article 11 of the Provincial Administration Law No. 5442 due to the rally planned in Diyarbakır. According to the statement, citizens wishing to attend the rally from the Erzurum city center and the districts of Çat, Hınıs, Karaçoban, Karayazı, and Tekman will be prevented from doing so.


The following was noted in the Governor's Office statement:


"Except for events deemed appropriate by the Governor's and District Governor's offices, the entry and exit of individuals or groups who may travel to the province of Diyarbakır to participate in the rally planned to be held in Diyarbakır on October 13 to and from our city center and our districts of Çat, Hınıs, Karaçoban, Karayazı, and Tekman, as well as all kinds of actions such as meetings, marches, press statements, hunger strikes, sit-ins, rallies, setting up stands, pitching tents, distributing leaflets or brochures, and hanging posters or banners in open and closed areas in our city center and the specified districts, have been banned for 4 days from 08:00 on Thursday, October 10, to 08:00 on Monday, October 14."
