Environmental protection group Save RGV recently filed a lawsuit against SpaceX in Texas. The group alleges that the amount of water used to cool the Starship rocket launch pad is excessively high and claims that SpaceX has not taken sufficient measures regarding water conservation. For this reason, they are demanding an immediate halt to the facility's launch operations.
SpaceX argues that the lawsuit filed against them is unjust, stating that halting the launch facility, which serves major government agencies such as the Air Force and NASA, would cause significant damage. The company emphasizes that this pause would result in a daily loss of 4 million dollars and would harm the national economy by leading to layoffs. However, no statement has been made yet regarding the water cooling system.
