Key highlights from President Erdoğan's statements are as follows:
-Despite the crises that erupt anew in our region every day, we continue to strive for Turkey's prosperity and security. On September 13, we inaugurated the Marmara University Complex, which I am proud to be an alumnus and member of. I wish all our professors and students great success in the new academic year.
-We see that the 'mastermind' that has turned the Middle East into a bloodbath is also stirring up the Balkans. As Turkey, we stand for peace, tranquility, and stability in the Balkans, and especially in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
-A lynching campaign is being waged against our Diyanet community. Those who saluted the coup plotters are now trying to revive the February 28 mentality. Those who have imposed a lifestyle for years now want certain segments of the nation's lifestyles to be seen as a monster. The days when our people could not enter certain state institutions due to their attire are over. The days when people were treated as second-class citizens because of their clothing are behind us.
-The days when mothers could not visit their children in military housing or attend graduation ceremonies simply because of their headscarves are behind us. As long as I am in this office, no one will bring those dark days back. We will continue our struggle against those who have trouble digesting democracy until the end.
"AN INDEPENDENT, IMPARTIAL, AND FAIR JUDICIAL SYSTEM"
-We are striving to bring our country to the place it deserves in justice services. The number of judges and prosecutors has exceeded 25 thousand. We will continue to work for the entrenchment of an independent, impartial, and fair judicial system. We are closely following the developments regarding the execution system.
-I commemorate all our martyrs, in the person of our police officer Şeyda Yılmaz, who was treacherously martyred in recent days.
-We hope to watch a football feast in all leagues this year. I also wish that our Basketball Development Center, which we opened yesterday with the 37th Men's Presidential Cup, will be auspicious.
-We held various contacts in the USA. We had productive consultations. Our building right across from the UN, which we opened for service in 2021, hosted the meetings. We are proud to have brought such a work that leaves those who see it in awe every time we visit New York. Our Türkevi building, like our Presidential Complex, belongs to 85 million people. Its door, like the home of the nation, is open to every member of the Turkish nation.
-In my UN General Assembly address, I drew attention to the conflicts in our region along with the oppression Israel inflicts on the people of Gaza. We expressed this with our motto, "The world is greater than 5." I stated that we must increase aid to Palestine. With the messages we gave, we saw once again that we are the voice of the common conscience of humanity. Turkey has become the voice of all the oppressed on international platforms.
-More than a thousand people lost their lives in the attacks in Lebanon. I conveyed to Prime Minister Mikati that Turkey stands with them. We will continue our aid as long as security conditions permit. The needs of our Lebanese brothers and sisters are also multiplying. Nearly 1 million civilians have already been displaced. Our NGOs are on the ground and doing their best. We have also focused our diplomatic efforts on stopping Israel's attacks.
REMINDER OF THE RECOMMENDATION TO USE FORCE
-The international community can no longer remain silent to this banditry of Israel that sets the entire region on fire. As in the UN General Assembly's 1950 Uniting for Peace Resolution, the authority to recommend the use of force must be activated immediately.
-Islamic countries should be the ones to react most strongly to the oppression in Gaza. If we do not stand up for our brothers and sisters first, we cannot expect others to support them. Steps are not being taken to force Israel into the ceasefire that Hamas has accepted. Today, standing up for Palestine and Lebanon is standing up for humanity and the culture of different faiths living together. With its state terrorism, Israel is also destroying the reputation of the countries that support it.
-We will never consent to this oppression, to this barbarism. I invite the Islamic world and all countries with a conscience to stand against this barbarism. As Turkey, we do not want humanity to fall into the same mistake again. We call on everyone in the region, regardless of whether they are Jewish, Muslim, or Christian, to take action.
"WE ARE TAKING OUR MEASURES BEYOND OUR BORDERS"
-We are striving for the honorable, safe, and voluntary return of the refugees in our country. We are managing this sensitive process without harming our law of brotherhood. We are taking our measures against irregular migration beyond our borders. We will share our national strategy with the public soon.
-We will tighten our measures against those who engage in exorbitant price increases and those who try to deceive our nation with price tag games.
