President and AKP Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan went to Malaysia yesterday for official talks.
There, Erdoğan gifted a TOGG-brand vehicle, Turkey's domestic electric car, to Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim.
Malaysian Prime Minister Ibrahim shared his first driving experience with the TOGG on his social media account.
"I AM DRIVING WITHOUT SECURITY FOR THE FIRST TIME"
The colorful dialogue between the two leaders caught attention in the footage where President Erdoğan was traveling in the passenger seat.
Ibrahim, who was in the driver's seat, said to President Erdoğan, "Mr. President, this is the first time I am driving without security."
"I AM SURPRISED YOU TRUSTED MY DRIVING"
To Prime Minister Ibrahim's remark, "I am surprised you trusted my driving," President Erdoğan replied, "Why?"
"THE DRIVER USUALLY SITS ON THE RIGHT"
The Malaysian Prime Minister responded to this question by saying, "Because I don't drive very much. Also, in our country, the driver usually sits on the right side. I used to drive when I was teaching in Georgetown, but very little."
HIS WIFE ALSO WARNED HIM
Stating that his wife asked him "Are you sure?" before he started driving, the Malaysian Prime Minister said, "Azizah also asked me if I really had to drive. She doesn't trust me much."
