In his speech there, Erdoğan stated that green passports would be issued to 365 chamber and exchange presidents.

HİSARCIKLIOĞLU: WE BELIEVE WE DESERVE IT MORE THAN ENOUGH

TOBB President Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu had previously stated the following regarding visa and transit quotas at the General Assembly: "There is one issue that continues to sadden us. We are keeping the leaders of this entire struggle waiting in visa queues. Let us facilitate the external contacts of the private sector's opinion leaders so that our path may be cleared. Therefore, we believe that our chamber and exchange community deserves the green passport more than enough. We believe that good news will come from you on this matter, as you always stand by the real sector."

ERDOĞAN'S STATEMENT ON THE AUSTERITY PACKAGE

Speaking about austerity measures, Erdoğan said, "I believe that the public savings and efficiency package should not be seen merely as a 3-year target. By institutionalizing the culture of savings in the public sector, we will ensure that awareness on this issue remains consistently high. As the culture of savings becomes widespread and embraced by society, the improvement in the current account deficit will also gain momentum. All our public administrations and their personnel must comply with the austerity measures without exception."
