Erdoğan announces: One citizen has lost their life in the attack at Çağlayan Courthouse

President and AKP Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan made statements regarding the attack at the Çağlayan Courthouse. Erdoğan said, "I also wish God's mercy upon one of our injured who has passed away."

"I extend my best wishes to our justice community and our people regarding the terrorist attack that took place at the Çağlayan Courthouse. I congratulate our security forces who neutralized the treacherous attack. Two terrorists, one female and one male, were neutralized by our police officers on duty before they could achieve their vile ambitions. Turkey will continue its fight against all terrorist organizations and their supporters with determination. I wish a speedy recovery to our injured, and in the meantime, I also wish God's mercy upon one of our injured who has passed away."

IDENTITY OF THE CITIZEN WHO LOST THEIR LIFE HAS BEEN REVEALED

It has been learned that the name of the citizen who was initially seriously injured in the armed attack attempt on the police checkpoint in front of Gate C of the Istanbul Justice Palace in Çağlayan, and who could not be saved despite all interventions at the hospital where they were taken, was Dilfıraz Karataş.

In the incident, 6 people, including 3 police officers, were injured.
