Erdoğan approves: Assets of HTS leader al-Qahtani in Turkey frozen
In compliance with United Nations resolutions, the assets of Abu Maria al-Qahtani, one of the leaders of HTS, in Turkey have been frozen by a decision published with the signature of President Erdoğan.

In accordance with the resolutions of the United Nations Security Council, updates regarding the freezing of assets have been published in the Official Gazette.
With the decision published in the duplicate issue of the Official Gazette dated January 5, 2024, information regarding certain individuals included in the Council of Ministers' list of "Natural Persons Linked to ISIL and Al-Qaeda" was updated.
Within the scope of the decision announced with the signature of President and AKP Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, it was decided to freeze the assets in Turkey of Abu Maria al-Qahtani, one of the leaders of Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS), who was alleged to have been killed in a bomb attack in Syria on April 5, 2024.
