Erdoğan attacks CHP at iftar program: 'Interest networks have tainted the CHP with corruption and bribery'

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan made important statements at the AKP Istanbul Provincial Organization Iftar program.

My dear brothers and sisters, we are slowly preparing to bid farewell to Ramadan, the sultan of 11 months. We are trying to make the best use of Ramadan, the month of brotherhood and forgiveness. MANY COUNTRIES IN THE WORLD ARE IN SILENCE

The Zionist Netanyahu government, which feeds on blood and tears, has broken the ceasefire and started targeting civilians in Gaza. The Zionist regime is shedding blood in streams in Gaza. I pray for God's mercy upon all our brothers and sisters who have been martyred. Many countries in the world are in a state of great silence in the face of the situation in Gaza. Note that when the oppressed is Palestinian and the oppressor is Israeli, the language used changes instantly. None of those who lecture the world on human rights and freedoms have yet been able to react to any of the babies killed in their cradles. I must state this clearly once again here: we have never been and will never be among those who treat the oppressor according to their identity.

WE WILL UPHOLD THE PALESTINIAN CAUSE

As Turkey, we are conducting multi-faceted diplomacy for the re-establishment of the ceasefire and the end of the massacres. We will sincerely uphold the Palestinian cause until our last breath. No oppression has ever been permanent. The oppression directed at our brothers and sisters in Gaza will not be permanent; it will come to an end.

WE WILL NOT ABANDON COMMON SENSE

No matter what the opposition does, we will never abandon common sense, patience, and calmness. Our municipalities will not stand for corruption; our municipalities will not stand for injustice. Our municipalities will serve their people by knowing what is right, truth, lawful, and forbidden. While we are trying to cultivate peace for our nation's internal front during these blessed days, the opposition is working in the exact opposite direction.

IS THIS HOW POLITICS IS DONE?

Our nation did not respond to the CHP's efforts to spread the fire in Syria to Turkey, just as it did not before. From street terrorism to usurping the national will, you can find whatever you look for in them. Finally, today, they revealed what they are by threatening media outlets. Is this how politics is done? Is this how policy is conducted? They are doing everything to create tension in our cities, especially in Istanbul.

WHAT HAPPENED THAT YOU SUDDENLY GOT FLUSTERED?

Interest networks profiting from municipalities have tainted the CHP with corruption and bribery. Those who boast of being Atatürk's party when it comes to talk have entrusted the Gazi's legacy to thieves. It has become a toy for marginal leftist organizations. Look, we must say this clearly: alongside the diploma game where the rights of hundreds of thousands of young people were violated, corruption has emerged. They cannot even stand by their friends they have walked with for years. By hiding behind the youth and pushing marginal leftist organizations to the front, they are trying to suppress their crimes like a brazen thief. I ask the CHP Chairman from here: Mr. Özel, why are you hesitant? What happened that you suddenly got flustered? Who are you going to stab in the back now?

THE PERIODS OF WAVING FINGERS AT THE NATIONAL WILL ARE BEHIND US

All this filth that has been spilled has saddened not only us and our nation but also the people within the CHP. Rest assured, our sensible CHP citizens cannot stomach experiencing the same thing 32 years after the İSKİ incident. It is now understood that unless the CHP cleanses itself of these haram-seekers who wrap around its body like a poisonous ivy, it cannot regain its political reputation. CHP Chairman Özel has not been able to escape the tutelage system. We are not pleased that the leader of Turkey's main opposition party has been reduced to this state. I state it again: the periods of waving fingers at the national will are behind us. Turkey is a democratic country, a state of law. It is a country where the law reigns, not where the superior reign. Let the courts make their decisions in the name of the Turkish nation without being under any pressure. Whether you accept it or not, nothing is outside the scope of the law.
