Erdoğan issues sharp response to ongoing LGS debates: Leave the country's children alone

The Presidential Cabinet met at Beştepe under the chairmanship of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. Erdoğan announced the decisions taken after the Cabinet Meeting, which lasted approximately 2 hours.

It is not easy to pursue what is good and what is right. Goodness is serving the nation, goodness is elevating Turkey's glory, and goodness is extending a helping hand to the oppressed. We are at the service of our noble nation, working day and night without looking down on anyone or being arrogant.

WHATEVER WE DO, WE DO IT FOR THE PEACE OF 86 MILLION

Of course, there are shortcomings and things we have not been able to do. But our effort and sincerity are well known. If a struggle is necessary, we engage in it; if force is necessary, we use it. Our concern and our love for the nation is Turkey. Whatever we do, we do it for the unity and peace of 86 million. We are never among those who chase political fortune.

We are making efforts to rid our country of terrorism. The goal is to leave a peaceful country for the youth with a 'Terror-Free Turkey.' We are making multi-dimensional efforts to increase Turkey's reputation and to free our country from shackles like terrorism.

TURKEY IS A COUNTRY HELD UP AS A MODEL FOR EXAM SECURITY

For days, they have told every lie imaginable based on the number of students who showed success in the LGS exam. Turkey is a country held up as a model for exam security. Ensuring the highest level of security in all exams is our sine qua non.

The discussion has evolved into hostility toward Imam Hatip schools; please, leave the pure-hearted and clear-minded children of this country alone. We will not allow any effort to be wasted.

WE WILL NOT FORGIVE THOSE WHO CALL JULY 15 A THEATER

We will not forgive those who call July 15 a theater. Acting on the reality that while water sleeps, FETÖ does not, our struggle against the organization will continue. Since its inception, FETÖ has grown under the protection of foreign powers.

WE WILL NOT ALLOW THE DISMEMBERMENT OF SYRIA

Israel has moved its field of banditry to our neighbor Syria, using the Druze as an excuse. Israel is a spoiled terrorist state. Israel is doing its best to drench our region in blood. We did not allow the dismemberment of Syria yesterday, and we will not allow it today. Those who dream of opening a corridor in Syria will not reach their goals. Those who go down into a well with Israel's rope will realize their mistakes. The territorial integrity of Syria is our fundamental policy.

PART-TIME WORK OPPORTUNITY FOR CIVIL SERVANTS

In today's cabinet meeting, we evaluated the latest stage reached in the Terror-Free Turkey process and developments in our region. We are putting into effect the right to part-time work after childbirth, granted to both women and men. With the law we will publish today, civil servants will have the right to work part-time from birth until primary school years.

RECRUITMENT OF 20 THOUSAND PERSONNEL

We are recruiting 20 thousand personnel to serve as court clerks and in other units within the Ministry of Justice.
