"First of all, through you, I once again sincerely congratulate our nation on the August 30 Victory Day. I would like to express this point in particular. The month of August is one of the most exceptional months of our national history, woven with glory and honor, and adorned with wisdom and virtue. We are fully evaluating our month of Victory, which we have decorated with epics of heroism from Belgrade to Mohács, from Chaldiran to Otlukbeli, and from Manzikert to the Great Offensive, in a way that befits its meaning. We are making maximum efforts to carry history to the present day through events we organize at home and abroad, to honor our martyrs and veterans as they deserve, and to protect their legacy in the best possible way.
WE WILL CONTINUE TO WORK FOR OUR COUNTRY WITH DETERMINATION
Because we know very well that nations that have lost their connection with their past cannot recognize their roots, cannot read the present correctly, and cannot walk into the future with confidence. Distinguished guests, the great offensive, which our heroic army launched by joining forces and spirit with our nation during the most painful days of our War of Independence, began with a victory that went down in history on August 30, 1922. The great victory, the 103rd anniversary of which we celebrate with enthusiasm and pride today, is one of the most critical thresholds of our War of Independence. With this victory, our army and our nation found themselves, refreshed their self-confidence, and were reborn from their ashes like a phoenix."
