Erdoğan continues his contacts in Washington DC, the capital of the US, where he arrived to attend the NATO Summit of Heads of State and Government. AKP Chairman and President Erdoğan met with French President Emmanuel Macron.
During the meeting, bilateral relations between Turkey and France, the Ukraine-Russia War, Israel's attacks on Palestine, and regional and global issues were discussed.
President Erdoğan expressed the importance of increasing relations between Turkey and France in every field, stating that it is necessary to revitalize Turkey's European Union (EU) membership process and that Turkey expects support in this regard.
President Erdoğan said that encouraging Israel regarding a ceasefire by Western countries would contribute to regional and global peace, and that it would be beneficial for France to take concrete steps at this point.
