AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has exercised his power of individual pardon under the 16th paragraph of Article 104 of the Constitution, commuting the sentences of 10 inmates.

According to the decisions published in the Official Gazette, the convicts pardoned due to chronic illness, disability, or old age include 2 Hezbollah members.

The grounds for the pardon were cited as health problems documented by Forensic Medicine Institute reports and advanced age.

Hulki N.: Pardoned due to chronic illness.

Abdulkadir E.: Pardoned due to chronic illness.

Hamit Ç.: Pardoned due to chronic illness.

Kenan K.: Pardoned due to disability.

Ziya Y.: Pardoned due to advanced age and health condition.
